Emotional regulation is not “calm down.” It is learning how to stay with the full range of your emotions in a way that feels safer in your body. Grief, loss, and trauma can make your nervous system feel on edge or shut down. Executive functioning can go offline. You might lose your keys, lose track of time, feel your heart race, get intrusive memories, or spiral into looping thoughts. None of this means anything is wrong with you. It means your nervous system is doing its best to protect you.

This list is a gentle resource for moments you feel stuck or overwhelmed. You do not have to do all the tools, and you do not have to do them perfectly. Come here, choose one, and see what happens. If it helps, keep it. If it does not, that is information too.
