Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.
As a Trauma Informed and Trauma Trained humanistic therapist, I never believe there is just a one size fits all therapy session. I view my role as your therapist or coach as a person who is just holding up the mirror. Helping you learn to love yourself just a little bit more. Together we look for patterns that are familiar in your life. I don't shy away from your feelings, I welcome them. I specialize in trauma, grief, loss ,traumatic loss and family systems. I am trained in EMDR for trauma processing and have found it to be an effective tool to help clients process their trauma and subconscious negative beliefs. Depression and Anxiety are at an all-time high in our world. I offer tools and strategies to help you find a way to reduce anxiety and stress in your life. Again not one size fits all so we work together to discover what works for you to help you regulate your emotions. The one thing I have learned from working with clients who struggled from early childhood trauma is three things, self esteem, safety, identity. These three things tend to be the most difficult things that affect children of trauma, as well as regulating their emotions. I work with motherless daughters, and survivors of gun violence. I also love working with couples, families and children. I am a certified K-8 teacher. I have a reading endorsement and have taught and lived in Shanghai China, Saudi Arabia, and Chiangmai Thailand. I bring with me years of experience living and teaching abroad. My approach to counseling includes a cultural lens. I love working with children and teens and families as well. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
