Hi, I'm Angela | Grief & Trauma Therapist
I help high-functioning grieving women recognize the loss before the loss. The attachment trauma from early childhood doesn’t stay in the past. It shows up in every grief that comes after.
Hi, I'm Angela Schellenberg.
Founder of the Grief, Trauma & Your Mama Podcast
I'm a licensed therapist and attachment-informed grief educator. My work sits at the intersection of early relational loss, nervous system response, and the grief that high-functioning women have set aside because life didn't stop.
I lost both of my parents by the time I was 22. That history is part of why this work makes sense to me, clinically and personally.
I hold certifications in EMDR, Complex Trauma (CCTP-I and II), and am a trained Mother Hunger® Facilitator. I'm licensed in California, Washington, and Arizona.
This work is for women who are ready to understand what they've been carrying.

What People Say
In Their Words.
I completed the Mother Hunger course with Angela in December 2023. I had read Mother Hunger, and wasn't finding the support I needed in my local community to navigate the complexity of this attachment injury alone. I found Angela's website and learned she does online groups.
MichelleI've had the pleasure of working with Angela for nearly 4 years now. I credit her for immensely helping me tackle the grief of losing my mother at 20, along with the subsequent anxiety and PTSD. I found her use of EMDR for more triggering memories to be very successful. She is someone you feel an instant connection with and are comfortable speaking from the heart to.
RachealAngela is a very empathic counselor. She understands the ins and outs of trauma. I highly recommend.
