What Inspired the move?

I have been working with motherless daughters and women who suffer from mother wounds in my private practice as a Trauma, Grief and loss therapist. Having lost my mother early in my life I love helping women heal their mother wound, and process grief and trauma. After reading Kelly McDaniel’s book, I felt like it was a missing piece to beginning to recognize how lack of attachment affected women who didn’t receive nurturance, protection and guidance. Healing your attachment wound is always possible.

I've had the pleasure of working with Angela for nearly 4 years now. I credit her for immensely helping me tackle the grief of losing my mother at 20, along with the subsequent anxiety and PTSD. I found her use of EMDR for more triggering memories to be very successful, and have adopted many of her methods for managing anxiety in my daily life. She is someone you feel an instant connection with and are comfortable speaking from the heart to. I've recommended her to multiple of my friends who also love her as much as I do!

Racheal

Angela lives her values every day and her work on behalf of survivors of this crazy world we live in only helps to demonstrate how amazing she is. I strongly recommend her services!

Angela has been such a gift not only for me but also for my family as I learn how to be a better mom, partner, friend, etc. She has helped me overcome deep loss and grief and learn how to navigate this world to be my best self. Other friends/family who've I referred to her have also benefited from her compassionate, heart-felt counseling. Her humor is refreshing and relatable which makes her more approachable and makes me feel less alone in my personal endeavors, struggles and internal voices. I think of our time together as my self-care more rejuvenating than any spa service or the like. I can't recommend Angela enough.

I completed the Mother Hunger course with Angela in December 2023. I had read Mother Hunger, and wasn’t finding the support I needed in my local community to navigate the complexity of this attachment injury alone. I found Angela’s web site and learned she does online groups. I was nervous at first to meet the other women in the group because my mother is still alive and lives near me. Angela taught us all, and nurtured us all as we shared our pain. She helped us connect the pain we carry inside to what happen to us because of the lack of mothering we received. I now understand myself so much better. The group became a new family to me. The women in our cohort have developed a bond and system for supporting each other. They get my deep pain, like no one else ever has. We are healing together. I encourage anyone lost in the overwhelming discomfort of Mother Hunger to join one of Angela’s groups. You won’t be sorry you did.
